In the winter sports resort of Pfronten, skiers and snowboarders will find their happiness on the slopes in 3 ski areas: in the Pfronten-Steinach ski center<\/a>, on the Hochalpe on the Breitenberg <\/a>and the Sonnenlift in Pfronten-R\u00f6fleuten. A total of 13 cable cars and lifts with over 20 kilometers of slopes and a large fun park offer entertaining winter fun. If you still haven't had enough, you can go night skiing on one of the longest floodlit slopes <\/a>in the Allg\u00e4u or enjoy apr\u00e8s-ski in one of the cozy mountain huts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

With around 500 kilometers of pistes, the Allg\u00e4u ski region is Germany's largest ski area, family-friendly and versatile, and offers the right piste for beginners and advanced skiers: The Tannheimertal, Nesselwang or H\u00f6fen near Reutte, where the Hahnenkamm invites you to enjoy the magic of the slopes, are just a few minutes away.

If you haven't had enough of the gentle fun on two boards during the day, you can also use the night trail. We recommend the local ski school for beginners as well as experienced cross-country skiers: trained cross-country instructors not only teach the technique, but also have the latest rental equipment available.<\/p>\n

The Tannheimer Tal with a total of 140 kilometers of trails is particularly versatile and only 20 minutes away from the SCHLOSSANGER. The cross-country ski trails with high-level competition routes as well as leisure routes for classic cross-country skiing and skating extend across the entire valley. In Nesselw\u00e4ngle, Gr\u00e4n, Z\u00f6blen, Schattwald, Tannheim or Jungholz it is only a few steps to the cross-country ski trail. Traveling from village to village and further afield is easy and convenient with the ski bus, which is free for holders of the guest card.
\nA classic is the 13-kilometer route from Tannheim to Vilsalpsee through the middle of the nature reserve. The circular trail from Tannheim past the Haldensee lake via Nesselw\u00e4ngle to the Gaichtpass is a little more sporty, but with an equally fantastic panorama. In winter, the lake is often frozen over and can be crossed. The trail is almost 19 kilometers long and leads through some of the most beautiful corners of the Tannheimer Tal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Natural toboggan run<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

A face covered in snow, lumps of ice in your hair and the wind in your face - that's what the longest natural toboggan run in the Allg\u00e4u feels like. Sledging fans of all ages can take the Breitenberg cable car and the short ride on the four-seater chairlift up to 1,677m. Before heading downhill on runners, the Hochalp-H\u00fctte and the Berghaus Allg\u00e4u invite you onto their sun terraces.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The spectacular view of the Pfronten valley is only surpassed by the panoramic view from the summit of the Breitenberg, which can be reached from here in a half-hour winter hike. As a reward, you can enjoy the surrounding peaks of the Allg\u00e4u and Tyrolean Alps as well as a hearty snack in the Ostlerh\u00fctte.<\/p>\n

From the top station of the chairlift, it's time to set off on the gigantic, 6.5-kilometre-long toboggan run - an exhilarating experience of a very special kind. Back in the valley, a bus takes the tobogganers and their sledges back to the Breitenbergbahn valley station.<\/p>\n
