Barbara has a remarkable ability to bring flavors to the point—clear, refined, and without unnecessary frills. Over the years, she has continuously developed and refined her culinary style—modern, precise, and always focused on what truly matters.
She shares a deep connection with the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe: several years ago, she became the first woman from Germany to be welcomed into this exclusive community of innovative chefs.
Today, she is especially proud to be shaping the next chapter of the Schlossanger kitchen together with her son Bastian, having successfully passed on the leadership while preserving the spirit and tradition of the house.

Bastian Ebert
Raised at Schlossanger, Bastian was already stirring pots alongside his mother as a child. His culinary journey took him from Löwen Strauß in Oberstdorf to the legendary Tantris in Munich, where he trained under Hans Haas. He later continued to refine his craft at Restaurant Dalmulin in St. Moritz, gaining valuable international experience. A particularly formative chapter was his time at Papa Rhein, working with Nils Henkel.
Today, Bastian leads the kitchen at Schlossanger with a clear and uncompromising philosophy—pure, product-driven, and without unnecessary frills. He is also proud to be part of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe and to carry forward the tradition of the house into the future.
