We want to preserve what is special, enhance quality and develop something new. Above all, however, it should not stand still and thus become even more typical. Tradition, GASTFREUNDSCHAFT, Family

A long history and great tradition connects us. Grandma Muck, Grandpa Toni and their ancestors laid the foundations in 1913 at 1,130 meters on which we are now building in the fifth generation. Over the past 30 years, we have been able to develop the SCHLOSSANGER ALP from an excursion restaurant in the middle of the Allgäu alpine meadows into today's wellness and mountain hotel with a unique, secluded location in the Pfronten mountains. Humility and hard work are the roots of this story, and the basis for its success is simple: pure nature, genuine relaxation, outstanding cuisine and authentic hospitality. Every day we meet guests who have become friends. Connoisseurs who rediscover us and recommend us to others. Different generations who feel at home on the SCHLOSSANGER. We would particularly like to thank our visitors for the appreciation we have received as hosts over the years.

  • 1883

    King Ludwig II dreams of a fairytale castle on the ruins of Falkenstein Castle. The mountain meadow below the ruins is popularly known as the SCHLOSSANGER.

  • 1913

    Alois Gött, great-grandfather of Barbara Schlachter-Ebert, buys the SCHLOSSANGER from a farmer in Pfronten and transfers it to his son Alfred as an inheritance.

  • 1930

    Grandfather Alfred, a trained cheesemaker, moves to the mountain pasture and turns milk into cheese. After his marriage to Kreszenzia Geromüller, a snack and tourist camp is established.

  • 1932

    Birth of Sophie Agatha Victoria Gött, called Muck.

  • 1956

    Muck Gött and the passionate confectioner Anton Schlachter marry and take over the SCHLOSSANGER ALP in the 2nd generation.

  • 1964

    Birth of Barbara Schlachter. After her siblings Fredy, Anton and Heidi, she is the baby of the family.

  • 1970

    The restaurant will be extended in the extension and new rooms will be created. All rooms will have their own bathrooms.

  • 1980

    New construction of the indoor pool with 37° indoor whirlpool. An extension for some spacious junior suites is being built.

  • 1989

    Barbara Schlachter and Bernhard Ebert take over the SCHLOSSANGER ALP in the 3rd generation. 1991, 1993 and 1996 Birth of the children Beatrice, Bettina and Bastian.

  • 2001

    The BERGQUELL wellness area is opened and has been continuously expanded ever since.

  • 2013

    New construction of the year-round heated outdoor pool and the panorama sauna with a 6 metre window for a magnificent view.

  • 2018

    Extension and remodelling of the SCHLOSSANGER kitchen to offer our guests even more possibilities to indulge themselves.

  • 2019

    Remodelling of the SCHLOSSANGER shop for gifts and accessories, redesign of the breakfast room, opening of Muck's dining room.
